Bridging the Divide
In Bridging the Divide, delegates face the challenge of managing limited resources, adhering to stringent contractual deadlines, and overcoming numerous communication hurdles as they attempt to design and build a fully functioning bridge. Taking on the roles of both customer and supplier simultaneously, teams must effectively communicate and manage expectations to successfully complete the program on time, highlighting the importance of teamwork.
Participants will be guided by Team Up facilitators through four essential stages of this project. The project brief outlines the objectives and requirements for the task at hand also providing teams with an initial planning period. From here it is straight into the design phase where teams must create a plan with detailed instructions to hand over to another team to follow. In the Building phase teams will need to bring to life the design they have been provided matching the exact specifications before all teams come together to connect the bridge in its entirety.
Once assembled the Power of One Bridge presents itself as an impressive free-standing structure. With participants gathered around the outside of the fully connected Bridge, it is then up to one of your team to take responsibility to drive a large-scale remote control car around the road top. All that remains to be seen is if your organisation’s Bridge will stand up to the test of Bridging the Divide!
