Team Up Events joins Business for Good B1G1

Team Up Events joins Business for Good B1G1. Team Up Events is proud to announce that it has become a Lifetime Partner of Business for Good B1G1.

B1G1 gives businesses around the world the power to change lives through the ‘Power of Small’. B1G1 is a Social Enterprise and non-profit organisation with a mission to create a world that’s full of giving. Unlike conventional giving models, B1G1 helps businesses achieve more social impact by embedding giving activities in their everyday business operations to create unique Giving Stories. Every business transaction (and as a result, your everyday activity) can impact lives from as little as just 1 cent.

Imagine every time you had a meal, a hungry child also receives a meal… Or imagine if every time you had a cup of coffee, someone received access to life-saving water… or imagine if every time you bought a book, a tree was planted…

Team Up Events Managing Director Stu Robertson spoke on the impact he felt when introduced to Business for Good B1G1 Chairman Paul Dunn at the recent Catalyst Global Conference and the decision behind joining the Global movement;

“We are very lucky to have the opportunity to connect a number of our clients with giving in the community through our range of socially responsible and charity based team events. However as an organisation and a team, we are also very passionate about making a difference and understand that we have a responsibility to practice what we preach.

When I met Paul in Bangkok, Thailand, I was immediately inspired by his passion for B1G1 and could see first hand the difference that B1G1 was making around the world. When returning to New Zealand and sharing my experience with our team we were unanimous that this was something Team Up Events just had to be a part of”

Team Up Events is proud to join over 1,300 business’s around the world as a member and contributor to B1G1, incorporating charitable giving into every event that we deliver as an organisation throughout NZ. We truly believe that every business no matter how big or small can change our world when we come together through the sense of giving and caring. Belonging to B1G1 puts the ‘WHY’ back into businesses and brings back a sense of greater meaning and purpose for everyone at Team Up Events and hopefully for our clients as well.

B1G1 Chairman Paul Dunn was effusive in his praise for Team Up Events making the commitment to giving and joining B1G1;

“All of us here on the B1G1 team are so inspired by having you here. Even though we’re several continents and time zones apart, we can feel the buzz you’re creating with B1G1 in New Zealand.

Perhaps even more importantly, you and your team (and through you, your clients) are now profoundly impacting people right around the world. It’s an amazing thing. We feel so thrilled and privileged to be able to have Team Up Events as a B1G1 Lifetime Partner. With much gratitude and very best wishes for this festive season. We’re so looking forward to sharing this fantastic journey with you”

Paul Dunn, Chairman, Business for Good B1G1

Team Up Events celebrated joining B1G1 by making a donation for every client in 2015 as part of annual Christmas Celebrations. In 2016 Team Up Events has made a commitment to give to projects around the world as part of every team event booked and delivered in New Zealand.

“We have just received a very special Christmas gift from Team Up Events! Rather than sending us chocolates or wine, TeamUp donated 350 days of access to water to those in need in Ethiopia! This was possible through TeamUp’s partnership with B1G1. We are very grateful to be involved in such a wonderful Christmas initiative. Thank you to Stu and the whole team at TeamUp”
