Welcome Courtney To Team Up Events! Meet the newest member of our Team Courtney Kerrigan who joins our team in the role of Sales & Event Executive based in our Auckland Office.
Welcome Courtney To Team Up Events! Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and your background?
Thank you! From a career perspective I come with approximately five years background in the Event Industry, with Operations, Event Management, and Sales experience. I have worked with well known industry organsiations Vidcom and Staging and Connections, working in-house at venues such as The Hilton Auckland, and The Pullman. Prior to taking a step into the Corporate Event Industry, I completed a Bachelors of Architectural Studies, and became qualified as a Technical Draftsman, I have also just completed certification as a Personal Trainer.
In my spare time I tend to take off the corporate hat, throw on a pair of sneakers and head to the gym, or put on my gumboots and work on our home orchard and play with our beautiful dogs!
What attracted you to Team Up Events?
I joined Team Up Events because the team is infectiously positive. They truly believe in what they do, and they have such a positive impact on the people and company’s that we work with. I wanted to be apart of something that made people smile, was beneficial, delivered value, and had a “Pay it Forward” attitude. Team Up Events ticks all the boxes in this regard.
What have you found so far having joined the team event space?
I have found that Team Up really do practice what they preach. The team culture is always positive, and everyone is always willing to help where they can. From having the privilege to work with our team so far, I have been able to witness first hand the benefits of what our programmes deliver and value that they provide. Positivity, Smiles, Energy, Achievements, and everyone leaving Inspired to take on any future challenges together as a Team.
Favourite event so far and why?
My favourite event so far would be Beat the Box. Its always interesting to see how people initially look at challenges as a competition rather than an opportunity to collaborate and work together. Beat the Box challenges participants to break down silo mentality and really engage in collaboration in order to be successful and achieve their goals.
I like this event because it really does highlight the nuts and bolts of how the work environment ticks and how we can be even more successful by embracing collaboration. It also has the perfect balance between fun and engaging activities, as well as transferable learning outcomes that can be taken back into the work place.
